About Whittier Wellness Community

Whittier Wellness Community (WWC) offers a place for community members to gather, find resources, or participate in wellness activities. Support includes mental health, substance use, and general health and wellness resources. All activities are FREE and open to the community.

Support Services
CORE Center Help Me Grow LA
Connecting to Opportunities for Recovery and Engagement (CORE) Center offers a welcoming environment where visitors can ask questions about Substance Use Disorders, and get connected to prevention and treatment services.

Substance Abuse Counselors are available on-site to provide:
  • Substance use disorder screenings
  • Referrals for substance use prevention and treatment services
  • Informative presentations

Help Me Grow LA works with families and connects them to services that can support their child's development.

A Family Partner Provider is available on-site to:
  • Connect parents or caregivers of children with developmental delays or special health care needs to community support agencies
  • Facilitate groups to connect and support parents and caregivers
  • Provide support to parents and caregivers in navigating services

Service Planning Area 7, or SPA 7, and serves the communities of Artesia, Bell, Bellflower, Bell Gardens, Cerritos, City of Commerce, City Terrace, Cudahy, Downey, East Los Angeles, Hawaiian Gardens, Huntington Park, La Habra Heights, Lakewood, La Mirada, Los Nietos, Maywood, Montebello, Norwalk, Pico Rivera, Santa Fe Springs, Signal Hill, South Gate, Vernon, Walnut Park, Whittier, and others.
