About Us

Community Health Education & Linkages (CHEL) is a program housed under Service Planning Area 4, Community & Field Services. By serving as the centralized space for health education practice and public health resource referrals, CHEL aims to strengthen and leverage DPH and community resources, while serving all residents across LA County. From connecting residents to local resources or subject matter experts, to linking DPH divisions/programs to community partners for presentations and trainings, CHEL strives to strengthen the community’s connection to Public Health.
