About Us

The mission of the Office of Senior Health is to maximize the health, quality of life, and access to best practices in health care and public health for all older adults and their families in Los Angeles County. Since its inception, the Office has strategically worked with the local community and with community-based organizations and governmental agencies to fulfill its three principal functions of health assessment, policy development and assurance. The program is dedicated to exploring and evaluating evidence-based strategies for addressing the growing number of social and public health issues that affect older adults and their families in the county, including brain health, caregiving, injury prevention, and promotion of age-friendly cities and communities.
